About Me

Shancurty Ignacio is a creative entrepreneur, author, and digital illustration artist from the Philippines. At present, she is working on her YA contemporary romance “Maybe This Promise”, a story that integrates art and chess, and her YA fantasy historical series inspired by Imperial Russia, “The Celestial Prophecy”. She also does graphic design, video editing, music production, and voice acting. She hopes to share her knowledge and help people pursue their creative dreams. When she’s not writing stories, she is often at home playing with her dogs, crafting, watching her all-time favorite vintage movies, or spending time with family.

"I wanted to be a writer when I was 11 years old. My inspiration came from Hayao Miyazaki's "Spirited Away" and Hotta Yumi's "Hikaru No Go", where I wrote fanfics of those stories first, which is how my love of writing began. I know a lot of you can relate, but Wattpad was my first writing platform, where I met people, friends, and had my books read by thousands. It's funny how I used to play with my Littlest Pet Shop toys like they were actors in a blockbuster hit movie! It's because of my intense passion for stories and characters that I became a writer and an artist."
